The Evolution of 
Expight Media

Expight Media began in 2018 with a deeper mission, to create content that fosters empathy between generations. Back then, we worked across all kinds of industries. Our goal was to help brands connect more authentically with younger audiences by speaking in their language, understanding their worldview, and respecting their culture. Not just chasing their clicks. It worked. But it wasn’t easy.


We were small, focused, and determined. Our first major client was a nonprofit EdTech platform that helped neurodiverse teens develop social skills. We rebranded their clinical program into something aspirational, aligning the curriculum with anime, gaming, and visual storytelling that their students already loved. That campaign didn’t just convert. It resonated.

But then the pandemic hit. Like many creative agencies, we were forced to pause. Clients froze budgets. Projects disappeared. And for a while, Expight Media went dark.

Why We Came Back

We didn’t restart Expight Media just to pick up where we left off. We came back because the mission still mattered, maybe more than ever. But this time, we came back sharper. Smarter. Focused.


We took a hard look at the industries we’d served. The ones that worked. The ones that didn’t. And what we saw in the fitness and wellness space was a huge, unmet opportunity. Boutique gyms and independent fitness centers were trying to market to Millennials, Gen Z, and Gen Alpha, but using outdated strategies that didn’t connect. Most agencies offered ad placements. None offered real cultural relevance. That’s where we stepped in.

Why Fitness? Why Now?

Because fitness is where culture lives right now. It’s where identity is built. Where people go to feel seen, empowered, transformed. And yet, the marketing behind it often feels sterile, recycled, or completely disconnected from the people it’s trying to reach.


We realized that if we want to continue our mission, helping older generations understand and connect with younger ones, there’s no better place to start than the gym floor. It’s where generations collide. It’s where brand storytelling matters. And it’s where content can do more than sell, it can build loyalty, community, and meaning.

Why Dallas?

Dallas is a microcosm of everything we stand for, ambition, reinvention, and growth. From the boutique studios of Uptown to the wellness spaces in the suburbs, Dallas fitness brands are doing big things. They’re local, independent, and deeply invested in community. But most are underserved by bloated, disconnected marketing firms.


We saw the gap. We knew we could fill it. And we built Expight Media 2.0 to do exactly that.
